What the decoder estimates

The deadline calculator estimates federal EEOC charge filing windows under 42 U.S.C. §2000e-5(e)(1) and applicable state Fair Employment Practices Agency statutes. The decoder accounts for the 180/300-day rule, state FEPA designation under 29 CFR §1601.74, the federal-employee 45-day path under 29 CFR §1614.105, the ADEA state-level requirement, the EPA direct-court SOL of 2/3 years, and the §1981 race-only 4-year SOL.

What the decoder does not handle

State-specific exceptions, fact-specific continuing-violation analysis under Nat'l R.R. Passenger Corp. v. Morgan, 536 U.S. 101 (2002), federal contractor / OFCCP channel selection, tolling doctrines (military service, mental incapacity, fraudulent concealment), and ambiguous §1981 race-coding cases may apply and are not exhaustively modeled. Outputs are estimates.
